Conclusion

Features of a conclusion

The conclusion contains the ‘answer’ and does two things:

  • It sums up what you have learned.
  • It relates this learning to the wider context.

Self-knowledge requires you to write about:

  • What you have learned from the experience.
  • How you might use this knowledge in the future.

Sample conclusion

In this conclusion the student sums up what they have learned and how they might use the knowledge gained from this in future.

Reflecting on the team experience has helped me to develop a better understanding of my own strengths and weaknesses in a team. I realised that I am good at finding solutions when others are unable to provide answers when we have identified problems. I am quite comfortable assisting others to resolve conflict. The most important skills I need to develop is to communicate my ideas in a team situation. I realise that I do not readily put my ideas forward in a group and that this will be very important in my future work as a professional accountant. I therefore need to develop the confidence to do this more effectively.
