SAS support for teaching teams

Student Academic Success helps teaching staff provide a full range of learning support to their students. Taking a sustainability approach, we consult with teaching staff to build contextualized learning support ‘products’, and at the same time, develop staff capacity to support learning needs of students going forward.

We can support teaching staff in the following areas:

• Development of curricular and co-curricular learning support products (e.g. workshops and self-access resources)

• Integration of academic and communication skills development into instruction

• Advice on adapting assignments/instruction to accommodate language learning needs of students

• Training in use of Learning Analytics to identify and support struggling students (called the “Students On Track” program)

Consultation Request for Staff Development

SAS Learning Advisors have backgrounds in a range of educational and student support fields. We can provide teaching teams with significant guidance in building academic and communication skill development experiences into their courses. In particular, as many RMIT Vietnam students are English language learners, we provide staff development to help teaching teams adapt materials, assignments and learning experiences to support ongoing language learning.

Our team also has significant experience in the use of Learning Analytics tools from the LMS to identify and provide support for struggling students. We can support teachers in making effective and informed use of these resources.

For a consultation, please complete the form below. A SAS Learning Advisor will contact you to explore the request, conduct a needs analysis and develop a brief and timeline for delivery of the support needed.
